Rösler’s RSA 1500 offers compressed air blasting technology in an indexing satellite configuration. This system is ideal for descaling, surface texturing, cleaning, deburring, de-sanding, creating homogeneous surface finishes, and shot peening.
For plastic parts, it is especially useful for gentle deflashing of thermoset and highly filled thermoplastic work pieces. It allows the processing of high part volumes and of parts requiring long blasting times. The RSA 1500 is also easily integrated into existing or planned manufacturing cells.
Satellite table machines are always equipped with compressed air blasting systems. The RSA series can be customized to include 4,5,8 or 10rotating satellites.
At the unload/ load station the rotation of the satellite(s) is stopped. Here the finished work pieces are removed from the special work piece fixtures, and raw work pieces are placed onto these fixtures.
By the indexed rotation of the table, work pieces pass through the different processing stages including a unload/ load station, entrance lock, blasting station(s), and a blow-off station.
Automatic linear, vertical, and horizontal movement of the blast nozzles enhances the system’s process flexibility and ensures complete and efficient deflashing of the work pieces.Depending on the project-individual needs and numbers of satellites the machine can run in single step or double step movement and can be equipped with up to 12 blasting nozzles and up to 4 blasting positions.
With the addition of suitable work piece loading/unloading systems, RSA machines can be fully The highly accurate indexing table drive enables the addition of suitable work piece load/ unload systems. This allows the RSA machines to be fully automated with very little or no operator involvement, making them ideal for the automatic deflashing of:
- Small- to medium-size work pieces.
- Delicate parts.
- Work pieces with complex, difficult to reach contours.
Typical applications include engine covers, pump housings and impellers, intake manifolds, pulleys, and thin-walled circuit breaker housings.
